Roswell
Episode 3.16, "Crash"
Written by David Simkins
Directed by Patrick Norris
With the series finale just around the corner, it really doesn't make sense to have a filler episode this late in the season, and that's basically what we have here. Witnessing a crash in the desert, Michael stumbles upon a cover up by the government in regards to a collision between an airforce plane and an alien spacecraft. He finds the ejection seat and the pilot's helmet near the crash site, but no signs of Colonel Griffin himself. Convinced that this is something worth investigating, Michael approaches the pilot's daughter, Connie, and shows her what he found. At first she doesn't believe him, but when she questions her superior about her father's whereabouts one of his men tries to kill her, luckily Michael followed her and was able to save her in the nick of time.
After rescuing Connie, Michael talks Max into finding her dad. The two of them decide to go after the guy that made the attempt on her life, obtaining the answers they need. Max and Michael infiltrate the Air Force base the very next day. Michael uses his power to make himself look like Carlson's henchman, allowing him free access as he searches the place for the crashed UFO. Meanwhile, Max looks for the missing pilot and after locating Colonel Griffin, he makes the switch between the hostages. Succeeding in their objectives, they quickly make their escape, but not before Michael was able to swipe an artifact or a piece of the spacecraft from the laboratory.
Nothing really big happens in this episode other than the fact that an alien ship did land in Roswell, but who was in it and for what purpose? Will the mysterious pilot be friend or foe? With the government people still hanging around the town, and the possibility of FBI presence lingering from last week, Max and the rest of the gang will have to find the answers without risking exposure.
Also, Philip and Diane Evans finally discover the secret their children have been hiding from them, although it is probably beyond anything they had ever imagined. After placing a video camera in Isabel's room, Diane Evans invites Isabel to stay for the night while Jesse is out of town on business, and for some unknown reason Isabel decides to use her power of telekinesis. Everything is captured on tape. So what does this mean for Max and Isabel? What will their parents do with this newfound knowledge? All of these questions will hopefully be answered in the final two episodes.
