Children of Dune

Children of DuneFollowing success with their original mini-series based on Frank Herbert's Dune, SCI FI has greenlit production of the sequel Children of Dune. This will be a six hour mini-series and is the first ever attempt to adapt the sequel to TV or film. The mini will be produced by John Harrison and Richard Rubinstein. This is meant to cover the second and third books of Herbert's series.

Production begins in April in Prague. The newly renovated and reopened Prague Studios will host the 16-week shoot. The series is tentatively scheduled for an early 2003 airing. It isn't known if screenwriter John Harrison will be doing this sequel after writing the original.
