Fox Orders Galactica Pilot

Fox Broadcasting has ordered a pilot episode from USA Studios of the Battlestar Galactica series that X-Men director Bryan Singer and his partner Tom DeSanto have been developing.

The pilot will be a two hour episode and could serve as the beginning for a new series that follows up where the 1970s version of the Battlestar Galactica series left off. If picked up the series would probably debut in the 2002-03 season. Singer would direct with DeSanto producing.

Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter.
