Lou Diamond Phillips will be joining the cast of the series, reuniting him with Young Guns star Kiefer Sutherland. Phillips will be playing Mark DeSalvo, a federal employee who helps Bauer in his investigation. Phillips' character will first appear in the April 23rd episode, which will also mark the debut of Dennis Hopper on the show. Hopper plays a previously unknown villain.
The name of Phillips character was the result of an auction to benefit the Sept. 11 Twin Towers Fund. The winning bid of $5,200 came from a stockbroker named DeSalvo.
It was also announced that Phillips' recently cancelled CBS drama Wolf Lake has been given a second chance on UPN. It will air following episodes of Enterprise starting April 3rd.
