NBC Strikes Back

It appears that NBC is more than a little alarmed by CBS's decision to run Survivor II in direct competition with Friends. In fact, CBS appears as if they want to dominate Thurdsay nights completely, moving their popular new drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigations to the 9PM slot immediately after Survivor II.

Survivor filmed on massacre site according to locals

Aborigines believe the second series of the hit American television series Survivor is being shot in an area of north Queensland where a massacre of indigenous people occurred more than a century ago. Security around the shoot is exceptionally tight but it is known contestants are in the Herbert River Gorge area where hundreds of Aborigines were apparently killed by the Europeans.

Paper Claims `Survivor' Site Found

Crocodiles, leeches, wild pigs and nettles are among the native flora and fauna awaiting contestants in the next ``Survivor,'' an Australian newspaper claimed Friday. Friday's edition of the respected newspaper The Australian reported that the second installment of CBS' popular show will be filmed in a remote valley near Blencoe Falls, on the Herbert River more than 1,100 miles north of Sydney.
