Do you have any inside information on Survivor 2? If so share it with us! Use our scoop form or email us at news@tnmc.org. Tuesday, January 23, 2001 11:24:41 AM Entertainment Weekly got the opportunity to visit the set of Survivor 2 and meet the cast. They returned with a wealth of information and some pictures as well. The biggest problem the facing the production is that the cast are all too aware of the first show. Producers had to warn the castaways to stop mentioning the first show. Warning were also issued to stip playing up to the camera. The immense success of the original made the set of the sequel a far cushier place for the crew though. Approximately 250 crew members take part in the production in a tent city with generators, phones, a dining hall, massage tent, hair salon, TV and internet connections. The set is far more spread out than in the original. Contestants have to be driven part of the way to the tribal councils. They then get to walk along a river to the location at the head of a waterfall, complete with fire pits and spotlights. As before, expect a fancy setting custom built for the occasion. |
