Plot:
The devil has decided doesn't want to retire and hand the job to any of his three sons Cassius, Adrian or Nicky. Cassius and Adrian are outraged and leave for Earth to put an end to his power. Nicky (Adam Sandler) is sent out to stop them. On Earth, Nicky meets a mortal woman and falls in love.

Rhys Ifans talked to Empire magazine about his part in the movie. "I play one of Satan's sons called Adrian, Adam Sandler plays little Nicky and Tiny Lister plays one of our other brothers called Cassius. Now Adam's a New York Jewish boy, I'm a six-foot-two blond Welshman and Tiny Lister's a big black man...so it ain't going to happen again."

Ifans describes Adrian as "an amalgamation of all British villains." His character storms out of hell following a disagreement with Satan and Sandler has to go find him.

"I was in Los Angeles a few week's ago on the set of the New Adam Sandler movie "Little Nicky", staring the one and only Adam Sandler, along with Dana Carvey and Harvey Keitel. This scene was shot in Long Beach at the Pyramid, California University's Basketball stadium. Little Nicky (Adam Sandler) is playing a basketball game against Dana Carvey who was a basketball ref. The stadium was dressed up as New York arena, and Little Nicky was playing a game with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Little Nicky is one of the 3 sons' of the Devil played by Harvey Keitel and he's playing a basketball game to save the souls of the people in New York.

He also does a spectacular slam Dunk scene, which he was put in a wire harness for a jump from the 3-point line. Rob Schneider decided to show up at the filming to see his pal Adam. Also at one on the shots, Dana broke his foot but it didn't affect his performance which I thought was great."

It would appear that we can add Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford to the cast. A scene in the movie features the two doing their show and Regis losing it. There are potential spoilers in this so drag your mouse over the text if you really want to know the details.

"The scene involves Regis losing it on air. He's going on about how he got cut off in traffic, and how he follows the guy back. He tells the stunned audience how he got an alumnium bat, and bashed the offending party's head in. The best line was at the end: "You ever see the movie, THE UNTOUCHABLES? I was DeNiro!" (I got the ref, and so should you)."

We've also got some pictures from the set. These shots appeared on the site of shock jock Mancow and show him mugging in front of various sets.

There is one major member of the cast we haven't mentioned at all. The reason is that it is actually three members of the cast performing one role, that of the bulldog Beefy. Beefy will talk and will be Sandler's guide on earth as he attempts to track down his brothers. You can see a shot of Sandler and one of the trio of dogs playing Beefy to the left. Add director Quentin Tarantino to the cast list. Tarantino has signed on to play the part of a blind preacher. He will make small appearances throughout the film in which he will become disturbed every time Sandler's character passes by him on the street. Tarantino will be wearing special contacts to make it look like he has cataracts.

Filming is definitely going to be headed to Los Angeles in the near future. Last week a report surfaced about the possibility. This report pretty much confirms it.

"Sets for Little Nicky are under construction on the Warner Hollywood Lot right now, but it will be 2-3 weeks at LEAST before they are ready for shooting..."

There you have it. Little Nicky is Adam Sandler's latest project. He plays the devil's son, sent earth to bring back his missing brother.

2 December, 1999

So far the shooting has taken place in New York but it looks like preparation is underway to start shooting in Los Angeles. Check out this brief report.

"I've heard that the shoot schedule for Adam Sandler's Little Nicky was taking place in both New York and L.A. Well, getting off the freeway in Arcadia, I noticed those little flourencent signs with the word Nicky written on them....guess where they pointed? To the Los Angeles Arobouretum.... a location that was also used for parts of End of Days (and the old Fantasy Island)."

Grand Central Station continues to be the source of filming for this movie. Coming Attractions got this nifty set report. It confirms that Rodney Dangerfield is going to be in the movie but unfortunately doesn't shed any light on what part he plays.

"I watched a scene where Adam Sandler and Patricia Arquette are having a conversation at the central Information kiosk in the terminal, and Harvey Keitel (presumably playing the devil by the looks of his attire) runs down and pushes Sandler to the ground and starts yelling about something. It was filmed by crane from the ceiling, and I noticed Rodney Dangerfield getting made-up on the sidelines."

15 November, 1999

Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne will be appearing in the movie as himself. Not only will he appear but he'll perform a concert sequence for the movie. A movie about demons come to Earth and Ozzy's involved. Why do I get the feeling somebody is going to throw a fit about this one?

While I'm at it, Dark Horizons posted a set report descriibing the setup for shooting of a major scene this past weekend. Check it out:

"I was just in New York and happened to see some filming of Adam Sandler's new flick "Little Nicky." On Friday they were shooting which seemed to be very big seen in Central Park east. I didn't have time to look closer but I did watch the crew set up equipment (lights, dollies, etc.) for a huge shot in Grand Central Station. It looked like a pretty major scene because lights were sprung out on the Station's second levels and they had what looked to be over hundred pieces of dolly track. Assistants on the film stated the filming in Grand Central will commence on that Saturday. Wish I could spend more time to check it out but I had to leave. My guess is the scene they are shooting is when Little Nicky arrives from hell into the big apple because early in the week they shot scenes in which he was coming out of Grand Central."

Filming has begun on Adam Sandler's latest project. Shooting took place in New York at 42nd and Lexington outside of Grand Central station. Below are some interesting pictures of Sandler in action on that very set. It would appear that his penchant for subtlety in his acting remains firmly in place. That and his snappy fashion sense.

Patricia Arguette has also agreed to join the cast of Little Nicky. She'll be playing the human love interest to Adam Sandler as the son of the devil. Sandler as Nicky is sent to earth to try and retrieve his brother who left after a fight with dear old dad. Can you believe this was the most normal thing so far today?

Rhys Ifans has grabbed the role of Adam Sandler's demon brother in Little Nicky. You might remember Ifans from this summer in Notting Hill. Ifans' character is one of the devil's sons. He abandons the old hell hole after a fight with dear old dad. Satan then sends another son, Nicky (Sandler), to bring hime back. The movie will start filming in New York November 2. The movie, written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, will be directed by the veteran of numerous Sandler flicks Steven Brill.

Former pro wrestler Tommy 'Tiny' Lister (Fifth Element) has been cast as the older brother of Adam Sandler's character. They describe the plot as Sandler's character being sent to earth to find his older brother who was thrown out of hell years ago due to an argument with their father Satan. They are currently in talks to add comedian Rodney Dangerfield to the cast. No word on what part he would play.

Harvey Keitel is going to play Satan in Adam Sandler's next movie. Sandler plays the devil's son sent to earth to try and stop his brother in a plot to usurp their father's rule. It's really hard to argue with casting like this.

AICN ran a fairly detailed review of Adam Sandler's next project. Sandler is one of those people who guarantees a movie's coverage on this page. The devil feels that its time to retire but doesn't feel that any of his three sons, Cassius, Adrian, and Nicky, are ready for the job so he signs himself up for another tour of duty so to speak. Outraged, Cassius and Adrian decide to overthrow their father. They travel to earth to damn up the river of souls traveling to hell. This will rob their father of his father, forcing him to capitulate. Too weak to fight back, he sends his youngest son Nicky (Sandler) to stop them. Nicky goes to earth and quicky does the fish out of water thing. From this point on it's a typical Sandler comedy. If you've seen any of them, you know what that means.
