Here is a quick little report on the film. Can anybody say Contact?
Someone who recently spoke with M. Night Shyamalan and he asked if aliens would be seen in the movie. M. Night revealed that NO aliens would be seen but they would communicate through mathematics. Some other news is Rory Culkin has joined the cast as Mel Gibson's son.

Joaquin Phoenix has been selected to replace Ruffalo in the cast.

Mark Ruffalo (You Can Count On Me, The Last Castle) has dropped out of the film. He was set to star opposite Gibson but had to back out due to illness. "He recently had a minor cyst, termed acoustic neuroma, removed from his inner ear. The procedure was a success, and he expects a full recovery," said Ruffalo's representatives in a statement. A replacement is expected to be named in a few days.

M. Night Shyamalan has selected a leading man for his new movie and for once it's not Bruce Willis. No, this time he's going with Mel Gibson for the role of the farmer who starts finding strange circles and markings in his cornfields. Students at the agricultural school are excited. "Everyone knows he's coming and all the girls are waiting," said Mitzi Weikel, a student working on the campus this summer.
The film will begin filming in September at Delaware Valley College outside of Philadelphia. The private school has agreed to rent 40 hectares of land to the production company for filming to the end of the year.
