According to the Moviehole, George Miller has finished his screenplay for "Mad Max 4".In top spirits, Miller told the site he was pleased with this final draft and casting was "in process" but wouldn't be drawn on details. "Unfortunately," he said, "we won't be able to shoot in Australia, although I'd dearly love to. We need some real big stretches of desert where the cars don't get bogged; those deserts in South Australia would do but it's not practical for the cars. So we'll have to shoot elsewhere." Shooting starts next year.

Mel Gibson and director George Miller are apparently going to team up again to bring yet another installment in the Mad Max series that launched Mel's career. It seems that Gibson has approved the script and should begin work on it after his next project, a romantic comedy called What Women Want.
