Madagascar (?)

Plot:  Four animals are taken from a zoo and shipped home by animal rights activists. During their voyage their ship capsizes, leaving them stranded in Madagascar.

According to Dark Horizons, a source at DreamWorks has confirmed that Madonna "is under consideration for the voice of Gloria (a hippo) in "Madagascar" but casting has not yet been confirmed". Apparently Jennifer Lopez is also under consideration.

DreamWorks next animated feature will be Madagascar. Ben Stiller, Madonna, Chris Rock and Jason Alexander have signed on to portray the voices of the primary characters. The story centers on four zoo animals released by animal rights activists and shipped back home. Their ship capsizes on the way and the four animals are left stranded on Madagascar.

Eric Darnell and Conrad Vernon will direct the project. Darnell previously served as a director on Antz. Vernon provided some of the dialog for this year's Shrek.
