Knowing (2002)
Plot: A time capsule is unearthed that contains predictions from a child who accurately predicted numerous catastrophes. Now there is a race to try and prevent one last disaster that was predicted.

Rod Lurie has been replaced with Richard Kelly as the director. Kelly will also be doing a rewrite of Ryne Pearson's script.

Rod Lurie will next direct Knowing, a psychological thriller for Columbia. Lurie previously made last year's The Contender and The Last Castle, which will be released in October.
The movie is about a time capsule that is discovered behind an elementary school when a water main breaks. Buried forty years previously it includes drawings from children trying to guess what the future would look like. One of the children's drawings seem to have been accurate predictions of some horrific disasters in recent history. The chairman of the town's historical society discovers this fact and then tries to prevent one last terrible event foreseen by this child.
Shooting is expected to begin in early 2002.
