Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise enjoyed working together so much on Minority Report that they decided to do it again. The dynamic duo will team up to make Ghost Soldiers, a movie to be based on the Hampton Sides novel. Cruise and his partner Paula Wagner will produce the film. Cruise will also star in the picture with Spielberg directing.
The movie is about the American POWs who survived the Bataan Death March and remained imprisoned by the Japanese for three years. The focus of the book is on the daring raid by US Army Rangers and Filipino guerillas led by Henry Mucci to free the men.
The script was adapted by Josh Friedman (Chain Reaction). Universal and DreamWorks will combine to finance the production.
