Garfield (?)Plot: Live action film based on the comic strip of the same name. The story focuses on the rivalry between pets Garfield and Odie. News: 17 January, 2002 Garfield The tubby cat from the comics is heading to the big screen. Fox has optioned the rights to a feature film starring a CGI cat with an inordinate fondness for lasagna. The movie will be live action with the cat Garfield and the dog Odie rendered as computer animations. John Davis will produce through his Davis Entertainment production company. Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow (Toy Story) will write the script. The focus of the story will be the rivalry between Garfield and Odie. Jim Davis' cartoon first appeared in 1978 and has been a funny page staple ever since. Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter.
