Disney has decided to postpone the release of this movie in wake of the recent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. The movie's plotline involves terrorists, which was apparently enough to scare Disney away from a planned Christmas Day release. According to their press release, Disney says "Due to the national tragedy that occurred, Touchstone Pictures has postponed the release date of its action-comedy film 'Bad Company.'" No new release date was announced.

Entertainment Weekly's fall preview featured this movie. Chris Rock was asked why he agreed to the part. "How'd they get me and Tony to do this? They paid us," deadpans Rock. Schumacher was asked about the odd casting, "People don't realize Chris is a great actor and Tony--although his humor is very dry and droll--is quite funny."

We've got a couple items for you today on this movie. First up is our very own review of the script. It's a positive review with only minor spoilers so feel free to indulge yourself. You can find that here.
Second is another report on the filming of the movie. Hopkins and Rock appear to be still working in NYC for the moment.
Follow up to your april notes:
They are in fact in NYC filming in june. They spent most of today (June 23rd) (started at 7 am) running around Grand Central Station and its surrounding streets (42nd).
They filmed a chase scene thru crowds in GCT main atrium (four faced clock) and down stairs to dining concourse.
Then filmed a chase scene down walkway ramp from main concourse to dining concourse with Tony Hopkins shouting "get out the way" repeatedly and flashing a police badge of some sort. If they show these two scenes one after another they wont make much sense to anyone who knows the layout as they will have had to have chased upstairs then down again - and I don't think the film is a supposed to be a farce.
Then they had 2 sets of about 20 ERT (emergency response teams) and FBI and police in riot gear and various weapons chasing down to the lower railway lines.
I didn't see all the filming, but they left before 6 pm.
Hope this is useful.
Thanks to 'Paul.'

We received an anonymous report on the filming of this movie in New York.
Monday, April 16th they filmed in NYC on Christopher Street near the Westside Hwy with Anthony Hopkins approached by CIA agents outside a check cashing business at 171 Christopher Street. An afternoon shot up the street of Chris Rock outside the PATH station being watched by a surveillance van nearby, was scrapped by Joel Schumacher who instead did a scene around the corner in front of an elemetary school on Hudson Street with CIA agents chasing Chris Rock up the street. Heard they going to Prague in several days for six weeks of filming and then return in June to NYC for final three weeks of filming.
Thanks to Anonymous.
