Jackie ChanMGM is preparing to remake the 1960 Jerry Lewis comedy The Bellboy. They are in final negotiations to have Bradley Allenstein write the script. His only previous script, Juwanna Mann, is currently filming in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Perhaps the most interesting thing is that MGM is also negotiating with Jackie Chan to play the Lewis role. The remake would have Chan partnered with another actor, as yet uncast. The original featured Jerry Lewis as a hotel bellboy having strange adventures at work.

Chan would seem to be an excellent choice for the role. He is well known for great physical comedy. He has recently put in excellent performances in the buddy comedies Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon.
