The A-Team (?)

Plot:  Unknown. The movie would be based on the 80s TV series about an outlaw group of former soldiers acting as a vigilante force for hire.

News:

Comic publisher Top Cow told Comics2Film that the A-team will be recieving the same big screen treatment as Mission: Impossible and Charlie's Angels. "The A-Team is our biggest thing," says Spike Seldin, President of Production. "It's going to be an updated version, action/comedy with big-time stars."

In a move that should have those who grew up in the 80s giddy with excitement, Fox 2000 has struck a deal to bring The A-Team to the big screen. Stephen J. Cannell will be producing the movie based on the TV series that he also produced from 1983-7. He will be working on the project with Spike Seldin, president of Top Cow Comics.

For those few of you who don't remember, or refuse to admit it, The A-Team was about four Army commandos on the run from the law. They had been court martialed from the Army for a crime they hadn't committed in Vietnam. They went on to make their living as hired muscle for people who couldn't go to the police. The series starred the late George Peppard plus Dirk Benedict, Dwight Shultz and Mr. T.

The movie would not feature any of the original actors. Seldin said the movie would be "reimagined, with a contemporary feel." That of course means they will be casting a young teen friendly group of actors.
