Plot: Biography based on the life of legendary heavyweight boxer Muhammed Ali.

The release date for Ali is on the move to Christmas Day. Originally scheduled for December 14th, the film was bumped back a couple weeks to avoid direct competition with Vanilla Sky.

According to Coming Soon!, the movie's trailer will debut on the official site at 8PM PST on Friday.

The Z Review found this great shot of Will Smith from the movie that appeared in Heat magazine. I never doubted Smith's ability to play this part but always thought he was far too thin for the role. Clearly his trainer is doing a phenomenal job of getting him bulked up for the role. He actually looks a lot like Ali in this shot. That's Mario Van Peebles on the left in case you're wondering.

Ron Silver will be playing the trainer Angelo Dundee. Don King will be portrayed by Mykelti Williamson.

According to Variety, Mario Van Peebles has been cast ast Malcolm X. Jamie Foxx is in negotiations to play the role of Drew "Bundini" Brown.
