Ghostbusters 3

16 July, 2002

There have long been rumors of a second sequel to the sci-fi comedy but nothing has come of it. The waning career of Dan Aykroyd, the indifference of Bill Murray and a lack of faith from Columbia Pictures made it a no go. But is there hope left? We just received a report that indicates there might be. Remember though, this is unconfirmed rumor.

"I´ve got a friend working at Columbia who recently told me that there could be a third installement of the famous Ghostbuster-Series. Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, who have been interested in the project since several years, finally dropped out because of some serious trouble with the studio. The concept of the new movie sounds more like a Spin-Off than a Sequel. It takes place in old New York City, where a group of scientists trys to stop a new crowd of ghosts terrorizing the city´s residents. The movie is supposed to be shot in Europe, so it´s very unlikely that one of the actors of the last movies will appear in a cameo or something like that. There is no working Title yet, but I will inform you as soon as I hear something new about the project. "

Thanks to 'Brandwolf.'
