Greetings you PeaceKeeper Pantywastes!

Last weeks episode, "Won't Be Fooled Again," was pretty trippy. These week's entry was destined to be a little more grounded in reality. But in the depths of spacetime, as any Trekkie knows, even reality can become a bit fuzzy...

The Locket - Original Air Date - 08.25.00

Aeryn's missing. Moya's inside of some nebula-like myst, and she never came back from a recon mission. After a solar day, she finally returns. One catch - she's aged 165 cycles. Don't you hate when that happens?

Needless to say, no one understands what the hell happened to her, but she's only there to warn them about the myst, and she unexpectedly leaves once again. Crichton follows her down to a planet on the other side of the myst, but this myst acts as some sort of spacetime anomoly, and it has the nasty habit of closing and opening periodically. John becomes stuck on the other side, with Aeryn, and is doomed to live 55 cycles before the myst opens up again.

This episode had a lot of promise, but just seemed...well, a tad boring. Much of the episode dealt with old Aeryn and old Crichton down on the planet. While this gave the two much time to interact and share some truly emotional moments, it doesn't really make for high drama. The resolution to the problem was also only partly satisfying. We do, however, get back Stark, but he's never shown arriving, which I found odd - he's just there.

The best scene of the episode:

Aeryn wears the titular locket around her neck, and tells John that it houses a picture of the only love of her life. He chooses not to see it because he doesn't want to see that guy's "ugly face". "He's not ugly," she promises. Later, after old Aeryn has passed away, Crichton is holding her in his arms, clearly skaken. He finally decides to open the locket, and guess who's in there? Crichton loses it and starts crying.

Not bad, but not fantastic. Farscape takes the week off this friday, but will return for the final 2 episodes of the season after that. If last season was any indication, we are in for a fantastic cliffhanger.

Episode Rating: 7 out of 10 (extra point for Aeryn-Crichton mushiness...I must be a closet soap opera fan)

This weeks ep was pretty skimpy on the CER's.

No word on what's in store for Moya's crew next episode, but as soon as I know, so will you. From the commercial, however, we know Talyn and Crais return.
