Goodies

We've got some nifty goodies for the dedicated Farscape fan.

The Story

Farscape is the epic story of astronaut John Crichton, whose experimental Farscape One was a prototype ship testing new deep space propulsion methods. The experiment went wrong, however, when a radiation wave hit, carrying the Farscape One through a wormhole across countless light-years. Crichton has no idea if he's on the other side of the galaxy, or the other side of the universe.

Crichton was picked up by the nearby vessel, Moya, who turned out to be a living ship, of a species called Leviathans. Moya's crew consists of D'argo, a Luxan warrior, Zhaan, a Delvian Priestess, Aeryn Sun, a former PeaceKeeper commando, Rygel, a Hynerian dominar, and Pilot, aptly named because he is in a symbiotic relationship with Moya, and controls much of the ship. All, including Crichton, are now fugitives from the oppressive PeaceKeepers, the effective rulers of much of the galaxy. PeaceKeeper Captain Crais has a personal vendetta against Crichton, as he blames him for the death of his brother during Moya's escape.

Armed with no real weapons, Moya's crew flees to the Uncharted Territories, where PeaceKeeper presense is almost non-existent. Along the way, they meet plenty of strange lifeforms, some friendly like Chiana, the latest addition to the crew, and many rather unfriendly ones. The most noteworthy of which is Scorpius, a high ranking PeaceKeeper officer who seeks the wormhole technology John possesses. Between Scorpius and Crais, John is always on the run, and always searching for any way that could lead him home.

Farscape premiered March 18, 1999 and is currently beginning its third season. The response to the show has been overwhelming, and it continues to improve each week. Catch it on the Sci Fi channel, Friday nights at 9 PM EST. For more info, check out:
