Written by John Shea Director Danny Boyle is set to direct a sci-fi thriller called Sunshine for Fox Searchlight and DNA Films.

Fox Searchlight previously worked with Boyle and Sunshine writer Alex Garland on the surprising hit 28 Days Later.

This time the duo have concocted a movie they call reminiscent of the 1953 movie The Wages of Fear, about a crew hired to transport dangerous explosives without the equipment to do it safely.  Sunshine would follow a similar path but in outer space.

The movie is expected to cost around $40-50 million.  Shooting would be in Europe and would likely start later this year.
